When ordering your yarn from DBY please keep in mind that this product is dyed by hand each and every time. As with any hand-dyed yarn please order enough yarn to complete your project. Our goal is to always have your product shipped out as soon as possible! If there is ever a delay or problem with your order we will communicate with you and let you know exactly how your order is coming along!
Why does my colorway look different from the picture on the listing?
First, please consider that small batch dyeing produces varied results, every time. Uniqueness is one of the most beautiful elements of hand-dyed yarn and generally appreciated. Please count on the fact that you will not receive the exact skein that was photographed, items you purchase from the store will have their own color variations and shifts. Even within the same dye-lot there are variations in the skeins. Please keep this in mind.
Will you cake my yarn?
Sorry, no. Due to time constraints, we are unable to cake items. If you don’t have the necessary tools to do it yourself please contact your LYS, they will generally do this for their customers.
I didn't order enough yarn, what can you do for me?
Please remember as with all small batch, hand-dyed yarns, colors can vary from pot to pot so PLEASE order enough to complete your project. We can try to match colors later but can give no guarantee that it will be exact. Also, please note that you may want to alternate skeins while knitting or crocheting your projects.
What are Flower Pots?
These are our "One-of-a-kind" yarns or some are reproducible, they might just not make our regular line up. These are pre-dyed yarns with limited quantities made of high end, luxurious yarns that we might be trying out or no longer carry. These are NOT seconds in any way.
Can I return my order?
Yes, we want you to be 100% happy with your yarn. Unused yarn in its original condition and packaging may be exchanged or returned within 15 days of the dated invoice. Sale items or wound yarns are nonrefundable.
Refunds will be issued for the full invoice amount minus shipping costs. Shipping costs will be refunded if your items were damaged or your order was improperly shipped (like we shipped you the wrong yarn or color).
We will happily work with you regarding any flawed or damaged skeins. Please note that we try our best to send you yarn without any knots in them but some do come through production. Knots are a normal part of yarn and it would be cost prohibitive for us to inspect every skein. Thank you for understanding. Please contact us at Desertbloomyarns@gmail.com before returning the items.

If there is an issue with shipping to your provided address and the shipment is returned to me, you are responsible for the re-shipping costs. If the error was mine, I will cover the cost.
My yarn is bleeding, is that normal?
It’s normal for your yarn to bleed slightly for the first couple of washes especially if the color is very dark. We suggest soaking your hand knits for 5-10 minutes in cold water with wool wash or a gentle soap and lay them flat to dry. Although superwash yarns can be machine laundered, we always recommend hand washing for longevity. Your yarn should not bleed onto your hands while knitting, if this occurs please contact me to resolve the issue.
